RITEH has organized the Preliminary ADRIATinn Innovation Weekend – ADRInno from 3rd till 4th of July 2015 in Rijeka.
It was organized for teams with innovative ideas who wanted to learn how to prepare their idea for the market. Six teams applied with their ideas. One speaker was engaged to present how to develop the efficient commercialization plan and second speaker taught teams how to develop the efficient business model and to prepare presentation of their ideas for potential investors. Two mentors were engaged for individual work with teams and to help them to develop their idea and to prepare them for idea presentation (“pitching”).
The Preliminary ADRIATinn Innovation Weekend – ADRInno was organized as follows:
Day 1
– Adriatinn project presentation and Preliminary ADRIATinn Innovation Weekend – ADRInno introduction;
– Introduction of mentors and organization team;
– Presentation “How to develop an efficient commercialization plan.”
Day 2
– Presentation “How to present the business idea to investors ”;
– Teams’ individual work with mentors;
– Teams’ finalization of their presentations;
– Presenting teams’ ideas to the judges;
– Selection of the teams with the best developed and presented idea.
Six teams have finalized their ideas and prepared and presented their ideas in front of the judges.
Selection of the best-ranked teams was based on 5 criteria: strength of idea; team strength; idea development; commercial potential and idea presentation. After the selection process three teams were selected for participation at Adriatinn Global Innovation Weekend that will take place in Portorož, Slovenia in early Autumn 2015. The winning team was VitalShock. The second place took the team Reshroom and the third place went to the team Lock IT.
About ADRIATinn Innovation Weekends
ADRIATinn project is organizing a series of ADRIATinn Innovation Weekends, ADRInno, with aim to improve the cooperation among research institutes and SMEs and to enable universities to become an integral part of the innovation supply chain to business.
ADRInno Weekends are organized to promote entrepreneurship, collaboration and creativity among SMEs, students, researchers, freelancers, and everybody who have interest in entrepreneurship.
The Global ADRIATinn Innovation Weekend
The final Global ADRIATinn Innovation Weekend, ADRInno 2015, will be organized by the University of Primorska and will be held in September 2015 in Portorož, Slovenia.
The ADRInno 2015 will have international participants from 8 countries – partners of the ADRIATinn project. Every country will participate with a group of max 8 people.
