Faculty of Engineering Student Develops AI System to “Whisper” Answers to Customer Support Agents

Computing student Matej Brodarac is developing an innovative system called Software Whispr, designed to transform how customer support teams and call centers operate. The AI-powered solution listens to live conversations between customers and agents in real time, instantly suggesting relevant answers and insights to the agents.

By scanning internal documents, databases, and PDFs, the system provides employees with the exact data they need on the spot. The project aims to optimize support workflows, minimize customer hold time, and elevate the overall customer experience.

The young innovator explains that the idea came from recognizing the challenges agents face – especially when they quickly need to find answers buried deep within massive amounts of documentation. Software Whispr steps in as a digital assistant, making the daily work much easier for employees.

The project has also been submitted to the Student Digi Award 2026, a national competition in Croatia that recognizes the most promising young digital innovators. Projects like this highlight how engineering students are increasingly driving the creation of practical, market-ready tech solutions.
