Key Responsibilities:
- Providing engineering support onboard construction vessel to the Project Manager or the Offshore Construction Manager to help achieve project objectives, adhering to plans and procedures developed by the project team. Specifically:
- Working closely with and reporting to the Offshore Construction Manager.
- Performing all tasks assigned by the Offshore Construction Manager, in direct coordination with the ship’s captain, and the chief engineer.
- Delivering engineering support onboard vessel, ensuring that activities within your area of responsibility meet quality (QA/QC) and safety (HSE) requirements.
- Ensuring the application of engineering procedures during construction activities.
- Monitoring construction/installation progress to ensure operations meet the required quality standards.
- Managing the daily electronic progress report (Daily Progress Report) to monitor and document actual versus planned activities.
- Assessing subcontractor performance and evaluating their operational efficiency.
- Cooperating with operations management staff in asset management activities.
- Liaising with the Client’s technical representative on all engineering matters.
- Conducting all necessary technical checks in the field.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including manuals, procedures, reports, checklists, and logs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Naval, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Proficient in English language
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Office suite.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Resilience; stress management; ability to work in a multicultural environment
