Last week, as part of a two-day event, the KARIKA Project – From Internship to Career: Enhancing the Employability of Students from the Faculty of Engineering (RITEH), University of Rijeka<\/strong> was presented at the Faculty of Engineering. Co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) with a total value exceeding 318,000 euros, the project focuses on improving professional internships and student employability by connecting students with employers and alumni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project plans for 245 professional internships featuring dual mentorship, as well as 33 evaluations aimed at improving study programmes. Students will participate in 24 career counseling activities – including workshops, a Job Fair, speed-dating networking sessions, forums, and individual counseling – and 8 alumni events, such as Alumni Days, thematic forums, and a mentorship programme. The Faculty of Engineering (RITEH) will develop a digital platform for managing professional internships and career development, as well as carry out training for mentors and guest lectures by industry experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main objective of the project is to increase the employability of RITEH students through higher-quality and digitized professional internships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
