Attila Mara\u0161ek, a graduating master&#8217;s student at the Faculty of Engineering in Rijeka, is actively involved in the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Measuring 2.1 meters in length, Faust V is designed for maritime traffic monitoring, detecting illegal anchoring and speeding, seabed mapping, and collecting floating debris. Powered by a battery system with up to six hours of runtime, the vessel uses onboard LIDAR sensors for collision avoidance. Recent upgrades include six cameras and a Starlink satellite connection, bypassing 5G coverage limitations to ensure reliable data transmission regardless of distance from shore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside this, Mara\u0161ek is leading the development of a second, smaller autonomous vessel &#8211; under one meter in length &#8211; tailored specifically for marina environments.
