Workshop Details
  • Date: June 11, 2026
  • Time: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Venue: Room I6
  • Instructors: Maja Arnaut and Kristijan Mrkalj (SRCE)

Participants will be introduced to the entire process of registering for, accessing, and working on the Supek supercomputer. The workshop begins with an overview of high-performance computing and the resources available through the Advanced Computing service, before moving on to a hands-on session where participants will connect to Supek, explore the working environment, and get to grips with the job management system. The final segment covers MPI parallelization techniques and GPU utilization, demonstrated through practical PBS script examples and real-world applications.

A basic working knowledge of Linux is required. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own laptops.

This workshop is open to anyone with a need for advanced computing resources—including academic staff, researchers, students, and industry professionals whose work requires HPC capabilities.

Places are limited and advance registration is required. To secure your spot, please complete the registration form. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
