On the recommendation of the Faculty of Engineering (RITEH) at the University of Rijeka, the Academic Polytechnic Society Rijeka (APOLD) has been awarded the annual “Faust Vrančić” Award by the Croatian Association of Technical Culture.

The award recognizes contributions of the development and promotion of tehnical culture and STEM education across primary schools, higher education institutions, and tehnical associations in the City of Rijeka and Primorje-Gorski kotar County. This initiative is most recognized through the NARASTEM project, in which the Faculty of Engineering (RITEH) serves as a partner. As part of the project, STEM workshops are organized in schools, alongside STEM days in RITEH`s STEM Laboratory. These cover topics such as Ecology and Sustainable Development, Electromobility, Renewable Energy Sources, Industry 4.0, and 3D Technologies, reaching over 1,000 children to date.

We congratulate the APOLD Association on this recognition and look forward to our ongoing collaboration on the NARASTEM project.
