Hartera Robotics, a startup led by Karlo Džafić, an alumnus of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Rijeka, has been selected to participate in this year’s Web Summit in Lisbon, one of the world’s biggest global technology events.
Selected from over 22,000 teams that applied worldwide, the Rijeka-based startup was accepted into the ALPHA program for early-stage companies, securing a direct showcase before international investors and potential partners.
The startup develops systems in robotics, computer vision, and industrial automation. Its flagship project, Carpathia, is a robotic platform designed to automate hull operations in shipbuilding and maintenance. By integrating computer vision, the platform enables safer and more precise execution of work in industrial environments.
Karlo Džafić highlights that participating in Lisbon provides an opportunity to assess international market interest and engage directly with prospective clients and investors seeking practical solutions, which could significantly accelerate the company’s future growth.
